Yatahae Riley

Born Feb 17th, 2007. We imported him along side of his brother Texas in April 2007. His training was started in Jan 2008 but due to really bad weather (snow storms and -30C temperature) he resumed training in May 2008 with Bryan Looker... Riley attended clinics and workshops thru out 2008.

He has a naturally arched outrun and presents a calm approach to his stock, allowing him to move them in a calm and controlled fashion. He works around the Ranch leisurly and safely as he had aunfortunate accident back in 2009, on a hike one winter day he eat coyote bait and went into severe seizure activity for two, going on three days, the vets at PG Veterinary Clinic worked very hard to bring him around and he being the fighter that he is, pulled thru. He has some neurological scars but not enough to stop him from enjoying life and doing what he loves everyday. He is our "simple child" and we love him dearly and cherish every moment we have with him. The use if Guardian dogs, electric fences, donkeys, Llamas, even horses are much safer wildlife controls then poison or traps, please think of Riley!!!

He is also the clown of the pack, always smiling and having a good time, when paired with his brother, they transform into "The Yatahae Brothers", inseparable and mischievous they have a sweet and loving bound with each other. "The Yatahae Brothers" were yet again struck by misfortune a few months after Rileys ordeal when Texas was overcome with a Brain tumor that took his life faster then we were prepared for, we miss him dearly and think of him often.

Riley is a big cuddler and looks forward to his daily couch cuddle time with either me or my husband; really I think anyone would do. His favourite thing is to eat snow and ice.
